We are seeking a highly skilled LCA expert with a strong chemical background to
support the sustainability initiatives of our client. As an LCA expert, you will play a key
role in validating internal and external Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) and mapping
chemical materials to secondary database emission factors to strengthen the GHG
Scope 3.1 emissions reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and carbon footprint analyses for the
products and operations, with a focus on chemical materials.
• Validate internal and external Product Carbon Footprints and ensure
compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Map chemical materials to secondary database emission factors and integrate
results into LCA models and CCF tools.
• Analyze and interpret LCA results to identify opportunities for improving the
environmental performance.
• Help to strengthen the GHG Scope 3.1 emissions reporting by providing
expertise on chemical materials and emissions.
• Communicate LCA findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and
external partners.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in LCA methodology, standards, and tools.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, chemical
engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in LCA, preferably in the chemical industry
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO 14040/44, PAS
2050, and GHG Protocol and industry standards.
• Familiarity with LCA software tools, such as SimaPro, GaBi, or OpenLCA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of chemical materials and their properties is highly desirable
